VanGoghlden’s Paws In The Sand – Isla

Isla is a daughter of Max and Abbey. Isla is a half sibling to Dutchess, and Murphy (through their dad) Much like her mother Abbey, Isla is such a good mom! Her first litter produced a single puppy. We had another mother with a litter of 12. Isla was given 5 of those. One day we realized Isla had started “stealing” puppies from the other mom. The other mom was as happy about it as she was so we let her keep them. The other mom weaned her puppies at four weeks (which is normally when we introduce food) Isla claimed all of them and continued to nurse her one and the other 12. At 7 weeks we had to work very hard to get her to stop the nursing. Needless to say we know she’s looking forward to a second litter.
