My once in a lifetime (although his half brother is named Twice in a lifetime for a reason) heart dog. Bentley taught me more about dog training and animal behavior than all the dogs I’ve trained professionally since the first one I trained in 86. I did everything wrong with him as a puppy and he went on to be the very best service dog. I still think about him on nearly a daily basis and it’s been many years now since he’s been gone. Bentley was a pet, never shown, never bred but he was what started my obsession with the breed and the reason I strive for longevity because I know what it is to have a great dog for 16 years. I will forever be grateful for the years I had with him.
